Had a discussion inspired by this book, it can be read here.I don't know that I feel comfortable actually giving this book a rating. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it, but I don't know that I can actually give it any stars. I feel like the author has talent, definitely, I just wish she wasn't constrained by the YA format. World building was weak, but that could have been because most teens don't necessarily care or pay attention to little anachronisms that were presented. Dunno. I went into this not expecting a whole lot, and came away with more than that - but I don't necessarily think it would be fair to say that I liked it...I just don't want to rip it apart. That's a good thing, right? We'll see how I feel after reading Fever.
